SRWare Iron is a web browser based on Chromium, which is the open-source project behind Google Chrome. By default, Iron sends out lesser information compared to Chrome (eg. creating a unique user ID or the submission of entries to Google to generate suggestions), which makes it potentially more private and secure in operation.

Dia is an open-source diagramming tool loosely patterned after Visio. Features include multiple-page printing, export to many formats (EPS, SVG, CGM and PNG), and the ability to use custom shapes created by the user as simple XML descriptions. Dia is useful for drawing UML diagrams, network maps, and flowcharts. PortableDIA is a portable wrapper for DIA.

PeerGuardian is an IP filter that is designed to block the IP addresses of certain organizations and corporations that may harm user privacy while using the Internet and P2P networks. PeerGuardian blocks IP addresses based upon a list of IP addresses collected by various methods. On Win2K/XP, PeerGuardian blocks at a kernel level, acting against every protocol used within the windows system. On Windows 98/ME, PeerGuardian blocks the TCP protocol only. PhotoFilmStrip creates movies out of images in 3 steps. First select your photos, customize the motion path and render the video. There are several output possibilities for VCD, SVCD, DVD up to FULL-HD (1920x1080). The effect of the slideshow is known as "Ken Burns". Comments of the pictures are generated into a subtitle file. Furthermore an audio file can be specified to setup the background music for the slide show.

MediaInfo provides a great deal of technical and tag information from audio/video files. It features many different layouts to display the information, as well as the ability to create custom layouts as well. Can be used to find missing codecs or just to get all the information you'd need from a multimedia file.

ntouch can be used to modify the timestamps of files and directories by simple drag-and-drop. You can set the date and time to either the current date/time or any other date/time value. You can also choose to modify only the "Last modified time" or the "Creation time" as well.

dtouch modifies the timestamps of files and directories by simple drag-and-drop. You can add or subtract a specific time interval from the timestamps of all chosen files. Note that dtouch requires MSVCR70.DLL to run.

LockNote works in two ways. It is a notepad that encrypts everything you put inside so that it cannot be viewed without the proper password. It also creates copies of itself when you drag-drop a text file into it so that you end up with a new EXE that displays the content of that text file when it is run and the correct password entered.

MozBackup allows you to backup profiles of Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, Mozilla Suite and Netscape profiles. This includes important stuff like bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, extensions, cache etc. Hey, you should really be using portable versions of these apps. But if for some reason you can't, MozBackup can help you shuttle profiles between installed versions of these apps on multiple machines.

HFS (HTTP File Server) is a great tool for sharing files. Once the server is up and running, the administrator simply adds files to be shared via drag and drop. Users wishing to download the shared files go to the specified IP address/domain where HFS is hosted via their favorite web browser. They will then be presented with a nice web page that lists all the available files that can be downloaded.

Taksi is a video/screen capture tool for 3D applications. It can capture from almost any DirectX, OpenGL or GDI window and capture an AVI video of the contents. Although it can use codecs to compress the results, this is not recommended as it causes more slowdown to an already taxing process. However, this also causes the resulting AVI to take up much more space, so it's a trade-off either way. Also, this application is still in development and some features are not yet implemented (such as recording audio).
